Just outside Strathpeffer and Contin, on the A835 (NC500), is the car park for Rogie Falls. A short but steep walk down good paths brings you to the stunning viewpoint and steps to the bridge above the Falls.
We arrived moments before the heavens opened with a torrential downpour of biblical proportions. Thankfully, our good-quality waterproofs and a waterproof raincover on the Osprey Bags prevented any injury to us or the drones.
Soon the rain passed, and I flew the AIR3 and AVATA2 from the viewpoint, capturing some stunning footage - a challenging spot to film due to the constraints of the treelined gorge and limited visibility. Still, we managed to capture sufficient footage to do it justice…
