Roseberry Topping - Added to Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Yorkshire and the Humber

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

Parked at Gribdale Car Park which also serves Capt Cooks Monument. I went late evening before sunset as it can be quite busy up there at other times.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 22/05/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

I want to fly here, but there are no parking or take off and landing markers. Can anyone that has flown here or knows the area add some markers to the map please?

Hi @Aikido3, it looks as though you’re quite new here :wave:t2:

Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself. :+1:t2:

As an alternative to the Gribdale Gate car park, look at parking local to Newton under Roseberry. To one side is a car park or to the other (on the A173). Is a lay-by. If your eyesight is exceptional you will reach Roseberry Topping - around 700m from the parking area.
Most of the area is NT except for the south east quadrant.
Hope this helps?

I’ve flown here too @Pedro71

You could drop some parking, toal and other useful markers directly on the map @ChrisM

Clicky here

Thanks for the information. I have been there before when I was younger and fitter, however I think I could manage a slow walk up to where I need to be.

The parking is already identified on the map.

Not with one of the dedicated pins in Drone Scene.

I’ve just added a new Parking marker to this location @Pedro71 :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve added two parking spots you silly automated text! :face_with_steam_from_nose:
