RTF Competition July 9th to July 22nd - 120mtrs Directly Below

@DroneGeek It was from CAP 722 Ian, which is still extant as far as I’m aware. If this is still correct you can but only with permission. Probably relates more to the Specific category than the OA.

Maybe that is the issue - just had it in the back of my mind.

Anyway, back to the images… :joy:

Hopefully :joy:

Apologies if I am being a bit dim, why has no one submitted an entry yet or am I looking in the wrong place?

You are absolutely in the correct place Steven. Sometimes these sneaky competitors wait until the very last minute to keep us all guessing, sometimes work and weather gets in the way. There will be some entries coming in shortly what with the weekend arriving. So please feel free to try and get in there first, no extra points on offer, just the pure cheesy grin from knowing you were “The One”

Thank you, I will try, I reckon Irish members should get some extra points, shocking weather at the min!

Aye well, some of us live in Scotland too pal. 9 thunderstorms today, 3 with hailstones. Sun comes out for 10 minutes then it pisses down. Nevermind, it still beats living in England does it not?

We’ll, as a Scot who moved South 50+ years ago, I’d say my present government isn’t deciding whether to raise council tax by 22% next year. They don’t have a minimum pricing policy for alcohol either. No so great now is it ? :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

Aye true. But I wasn’t really trying to be serious and score political points, thought I was just having a light hearted laugh at my southern cousins :+1:

Location: Dromore, County Down
Time and date: 18:06 and 16 Jul 23
Aircraft/camera used: DJI Mini 3 Pro
Feel free to add any further information that you think will be of interest: Dromore Mound or Dromore Motte and Bailey as it is commonly known is probably Dromore’s most recognisable feature. It was built by Sir John de Courcy after the Norman Conquest in the 13th Century. This is the best preserved and most impressive example in Ulster of an Anglo-Norman motte and bailey castle.

It is the crop circle season, but this is the first ‘cut throat razor’ crop circle that I’ve seen :person_shrugging:

It also looks like the number 7, which is my lucky number - and my birthday is 7 August. Since I could do with some good luck right about now, I just had to shoot it :+1:

  • SALTAIRE VILLAGE, West Yorkshire
  • Wednesday 19th July 2023. 1130am (approx)
  • Mini 3 Pro
  • 120m

In the 1850s, Titus Salt built the model village of Saltaire to house workers from his woollen mill. He commissioned over 800 back-to-back stone houses in uniform rows with Italianate style. Though modestly sized, the Saltaire homes were well-built and spacious for working-class standards, each with gardens and wash houses. The orderly housing reflected Salt’s aims to provide good living conditions and an ideal industrial community for his employees.
