I didn’t even know the new thread had gone up

How long have you been supporting the RTF competition Deano?

We try to bring the results of the vote and the new thread for the competition within 5 minutes of the Saturday 22:00 close of the poll for the subjects.

And, Mr Industrial Revolution Badge Holder. what’s the subject … ?

 I’m out of touch after the colour challenge, I’m a bit slow like that

yeah yeah, I’ve caught up now lol it’s industry :ok_hand:t2:

We live in exciting times.

The nation has overdosed on bunting. bonhomie and booze, the Prime Minister survives a confidence vote with 40% of his party unable to support him - similar to Wil E. Coyote running in mid-air before his realisation that his support is no longer viable.

And we have done our best to paper over the cracks left by our little poll-creating attempts on Saturday night.

So we have pleasure in announcing the winners in the RTF Bridges competition, which saw a record number of entries and many fine pictures of a varied and interesting set of subjects - one proving exceptionally popular! As always, some people just shine that little bit brighter than their companions and the top three of those are:

In Third place was @firstadekit with a picture of a nice looking single span bridge enhanced by a rather fine steam locomotive passing over it

Second position goes to @Acedrone. Jason chose a modest bridge over a canal junction with a dramatic sunset for his image that came so close to winning

And congratulations to our First place winner @kvetner with this fine shot of the Gateway spanning the Mersey and the Manchester Ship Canal

Thank you all and enjoy the next in the series - INDUSTRY - running from now until Saturday June 18th

PS, due to the mysterious disappearance of the operative who was on duty on Saturday night a vacancy has occurred for a DigiPoll technician. Must have three years experience and be able to read (and understand) Mandarin

Woo hoo!

Well done to @Acedrone and @firstadekit for excellent photos, and for the @Challenges_Committee for coping with such a huge volume of entries - obviously a very popular subject (as it certainly should be - I design bridges as my day job).
