We have had a better response to this round of RTF - maybe the weather is getting a wee bit better for flying. The next round - History - includes the summer solstice so you have maximum daylight to complete your task. <meanwhile there is another small task to perform and that is to vote for the winners of this round.

Because many of our regulars are carousing at the Big Meet we are giving an extra day to the voting this time - you have until Tuesday June 11th at 22:00 to cast a vote or votes for one, some all or none of the excellent images presented below:

@group-challenges

We had a better turnout for this round of RTF and a close run competition. Dereliction seems to have an appeal to the GADC members.

Our third-place winner is Suzanne - @AlbionDrones - with her frame grab from a video of Chatterley Whitfield Colliery near Stoke on Trent. It was the largest mine working the North Staffordshire Coalfield) and was the first colliery in the UK to produce one million tons of saleable coal in a year.

Our second-place winner is John - @Drumsagard who photographed the Robert Adam designed Dalquharran Castle near the village of Dailly between Girvan and Turnberry. He treated us to a moody monochrome shot:

Having travelled from Staffordshire to Ayshire we now turn to West Glamorgan for our first-place winner, Nigel - @Stomper - who also travelled from his Hampshire home to capture an image of the engine house of once proud Briton Ferry Iron Works which which housed a Richardson, Westgarth quarter crank blowing engine. It is constructed of concrete blocks in a steel frame, and has two rows of classical-style fenestration, now filled in.

Thank you all for contributing such an interesting and varied selection of pictures and sites, congratulations to our three winners and we look forward to seeing your entries for the next round of RTF - History
