RTF Drone Photo Competition May 25th to June 9th - Roads - Winners Announced

Right, if you are all fixed up for your explosives tour let’s get back to the plot

Winners:

This time we have no third but instead a tie for second place between Scott @medwsc (more later) and Paul @ParmoPaul with his picture of the Hardknott Pass which shares the title of England’s steepest road with Rosedale Chimney Bank with maximum gradients of 1 in 3.

Scott managed a long exposure to capture the original Severn Bridge at night. A bridge to link England and Wales was proposed in 1824. This, the first Severn road crossing, was opened in 1966 and carried the M$ motorway until the second crossing opened 30 years later. The original roadway has been designated the M48 and is possibly going to be downgraded to an A road following proposals in 2021.

This round’s winner is Leigh @leighwalker has managed to sort out his timezones and entered well before the deadline. The image is of the road between Clifton and Wollongong running parallel to the cliffs on the Sea Cliff Bridge:

Congratulation to everyone who entered this challenge, special congratulations to the winners and we hope to see you all (and others) in the next round - Ponds
