Located just off the main A9 near Kingussie are the ruins of the Ruthven Barracks, a remnant of the Jacobite time period and an interesting set of ruins that have always caught our attention when travelling past. This time we managed to stop and take a look…
Good parking locally with some good info boards present too…

Thanks @TMVideos its definitely interesting, need to return in Spring, or in the snow methinks…
Snow on that would be amazing, I love the way its just pops out of the ground massive mound, flat all around it.

Lovely video , have travelled the A9 many times but never stopped to view.
Live near Dunkeld so this is only about an hour away.
Mini 3 pro does the job.

Thanks… yeah, my first Drone, and such an amazing bit of jkit, although am lusting after a Mavic3 Classic for more windy conditions, but tbh the MINI3 is a very capable machine, despite its small size…
The Dunkeld area is beautiful, I managed to get a decent bit of footage from the Hermitage and Falls of Bruar while we were up there, wish I lived closer tbh…
