RX Loss In flight

Signal went really quickly. Drone was about 2 o’clock from me and about 20 metres up and around 20 metres way.

One of those things ?

How is the antenna mounted on the quad? Carbon fibre and the lipo can block the signal.

switch to ELRS or Crossfire and you’ll forget RX Lost is even a thing

Not mounted that well does look that good.

What the optimum, straight (1/4 wave length I am guessing) and pointing out the back ?

Which one is it  Yeah straight out from the frame. Any chance it could poke out the top of the canopy?

When you go crsf or elrs, you wont get these problems jimmying around a field.

Yep. Thanks good suggestion

Now I just need to replace a motor yet again from a crash.

Thanks @notveryprettyboy

It’s been said before, Just get Crossfire, forget and fly, it just works

ELRS is similiar but not as simple to use, for piece of mind and avoiding lost kit get TBS CROSSFIRE

tagging @GunjaFPV 'cos he’s bound to have something to say

Heh only ever seen one of ELRS and crossfire failsafe… And wasn’t even at close range… One clue… It was made by TBS.

Though FRSky… Or flysky… Yeah not good to do that close by.

Saving up for a complete digital set. Drone, google and new controller. But may have to wait until Santa calls.

In the meantime I can improve my repairing and flying

If that failsafe was @notveryprettyboy’s then that doesn’t count as his tango 2 is held together with plasters, zip ties and blu-tac!.. and there is probably a paper clip in there too, for good measure!!
