Ryhope Engines Museum, Sunderland - Added to Historic Buildings in North East

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission obtained.

Ryhope Engines Museum is a great place to visit, and the staff are very drone-friendly, just ask for permission to fly and film. Don't forget to share some photos with the volunteers!
The building is Grade II Listed, think insurance…
Parking is available on site.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 06/09/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

It’s a stunning place to visit, especially when the pumps are running! It’s staffed by volunteers and there is no entry fee…

What a stunning building. I wish other landowners would do the same and out of courtesy send them a few pictures to say thank you. People will respect you more, that’s the way I look at it.:+1:

Agreed @Rob2. It would be hard to find a more welcoming, dedicated group of volunteers anywhere. Sharing a few images helps them keep their website updated, and also helps with the in-house newsletter.
The team does of course credit the photographer too, so everyone wins.

I want to fly here @mollin, I’ve added it to the list of places I want to fly

There are no parking or take off and landing markers on the map at this location. Could anyone that has flown here or knows the area add some useful markers to the map, please?

Parking here is on site, check the museum’s website for up to date opening times. Park where indicated by site staff on arrival.
For TOAL locations, first, ask for permission to fly, then ask where staff would like you to operate from.
Everyone is very drone friendly here, just ask and they will help you out…
