I’ve looked on marketplace and eBay and as there so many fakes I’m dubious so wondering is there a good trusted cheap online shops that can be recommended please.
I have an S23 ultra. I have been looking at the S25 and now the S26 and I see very little difference. Faster processing and “better” camera seems to be the only thing that is different. I still get software updates and it has all the AI features of the newer models. I boughtit on contract when it had not long been released and is still going strong now. Even the battery is still fine. A friend has an S25 that she paid a lot for and it doesn’t appear any different mine is paid off now and I’m SIM only paying £16 a month for unlimited everything.
Thanks seen blackmarket when searching but I was unsure with these online shops as there so many of them, as you confirmed there actually a site I will take a look.
@John69 nice review, I’m actually looking at these models as a spare as they have DEX and Working DP
Bought my Samsung S25+ from Backmarket 6 months ago. Went with the ‘Excellent’ condition option (as opposed to ‘Premium’) and saved about £400 off the price of a new one. Really glad I did, it was like new. Would definitely look at using them again.
I’m confused as I’ve been flicking between eBay and blackmarket all day today.
Seen @NylonTieFighter Richards post and thought that’s a good price
I always buy new so never buy refurbished but as this phone is only for DEX and DP and it’s a Samsung S series I need I’m not willing to get a contract or buy new as it’s ridiculous prices.
I recommend it because I actually use it. I’ve bought at least 3 phones. All have been exactly as described at a great price. My S22 Ultra still going strong.
The only thing to watch with seconds is the age, as batteries obviously deteriorate with time.
One option is a local phone shop with good Google maps reviews, though even then there are risks, as in the case of my local one that changed hands and the reviews haven’t caught up the increased dodgyness.
Thanks Andrew I will go down Giffgaff route when searching it’s ever eBay or blackmarket but just looking on Giffgaff they have alot of nearly new and cheaper then eBay blackmarket or marketplace and reassurance with warranty and quality.
@ash2020 I was just about to purchase in full but I see there is £10 monthly payment which I chose no contract can I just not activate SIM then a rolling charge won’t be activated, I think I did something similar when buying a Vodafone phone on a deal and never used the SIM?
We just used a monthly £6 deal, No contract, just buy the phone and ask them for the SIM. You can keep your number. You can change how much you pay month by month if you want to. I never sign up for a contract. We have now changed to EcoTalk to try and save the planet! Same thing, no contract. BTW, I have a Samsung S23 Ultra and it is brilliant. Camera is awesome. I’d like to upgrade to an S26 but can’t afford it.
After alot of thought and consideration I said I would never buy a new phone again but a good second one still big money refurbished and buying one from eBay or marketplace is dodgy as even fake ones are hard to recognise until start using it as from the box to the phone it all looks genuine and even spoofing the IMEI and about phone info say it’s on 14 when it’s actually on 7 storage 256 gigs when it could be a 2
My head has been frazzled so bought a brand new Samsung galaxy s26 ultra no contract alot of money but I know what I have and new.
