Saving files on my DJI mini 3 pro

Not sure what is happening, whether I have changed any settings but all the video footage on my SD card over the last couple of days I am unable to open.
Previously the MP4 file was created along with the corresponding SRT file. The last few files are just MPF files and when I try to open them with QuickTime Player I get the message " The document “DJI_0054.MP$ could not be opened” This file isn’t compatable with QuickTimePlayer.

Anyone had this issue before

Have you tried clicking on the particular file, get info & see what the settings / default settings are ?
I know your on about videos there but I had a similar issue where some pictures would not open, so I screen shared with apple & id accidentally changed something,
It’s only an educated guess but worth a look,
Hope you get it sorted, sorry I can’t be of no more help, other than that I’m sure someone with more experience than me may know if the above is a no go. :+1:t2:

The first file is the one that doesn’t work, the second one is fine. Not sure why, have tried somewhat with DJI but not really helpful

Have you tried opening it on a different device if you have one ? Or trying to open it in a different media application ?

For example VLC.

That’s what I was thinking, or would it be rude to ask to share the file to see if anyone on here could open the file, just a thought.

It’s 1.8GB.

It does have a preview thumbnail so it can’t be 100% random data.

Please check DJI Fly to see if you’re recording in D-Cinelike for the problematic videos. If so turn it off and try again.

If it IS that, and you want D-Cinelike, you may have to change your video editing workflow.

I don’t know if it’s the problem here, but if you turn off the drone while it is still recording, it corrupts the files. If that’s the issue, it’s easy to fix.
Put the card in the drone, start a recording, and then stop it.
That will fix the issue (if that’s what’s causing it)

Share that file

Use wetransfer or something similar

After much investigation, you have nailed it. The video files worked when I used Quickshots. such as the dronie and rocket but when I sent up the drone just using the sticks and videod the scene it didn’t work. I then went through the settings again and yes; the settings for video had D-Cinelike and Subtitles switched off. Even DJI couldn’t give me any correct answers. Thanks so much.
