I’ve always been taken by this little corner of West Friesland, a few miles south of Hoorn, north of Amsterdam.
It was blowy when I was there in May (16+mph), and quite grey. Nevertheless cyclists passed through on the dyke road, and strengthening of the Markermeer dykes was evident in a lot of places.
