PLA is solid and won’t bend, but I’ve found it can break in a crash. Especially along the layers.
I’ve used PP for my adapter, TPU should work ok.
PLA is easier to print… and you are just starting.
The adapter is not a stress bearing part so “should” be ok.
Exactly my thinking. Going to design it myself tbh. Quite enjoying getting into that! But still don’t think I’ll have the printer up and running within the next week!! Then it’ll be octoprint I want, lol more expense, more expense.
Whats PP BTW and recommend any good filament? I’ve probably bought crap stuff, lol
PP = Polypropylene.
It’s flexible like TPU, but not as flexible. My 3d printed frames are printed with it. 2" and 3".
I prefer Esun PLA these days, but also use SunLu a fair amount. Ziro is pretty good as well. I’ve not found many really poor brands to be fair, but some types of filament can be a pain. Some Silk PLA I have is just plain weird.
I tend to just buy what Amazon has in stock. Prices vary a lot. I do try to keep buying the same stuff for consistency as I seem to get through a lot of the stuff.

I think I probably went for price (though the purple I went for as I wanted purple for the drone ends, etc) and believe SainSmart an “OK” brand, so maybe that’ll be nice.
I’ve never used any of those.
I have heard good things about Sainsmart TPU though.
BTW with arm protectors, after bending a motor axle in a collision I have made them tall enough to protect the motor bell as well.

In my haste (and panic to find a radio). I have ended uupnwith two RX an EP1 RX by HappyModel (who made me TX in the TX16S) and a Nanmimno Nano one (similar to the BetaFPV one I had I my first Martian). I think I also have a third coming from bbang good which is the BetaFPV had first time round. Any one know which might be better or the two I already have… Links below…
Spares and nest model is fine. Just wanna get building and wondered which might be best of these two
From reading the specs they are very similar. Likely to not have a hugely noticeable difference between the two

Can’t imagine the range difference is much, but you could always just set your tranny to range test mode and try them both out before taking off.

Build under way whilst learning how to 3D print. Getting hole sizes right is tricky!! 3 prints to get the 30.5 to 20mm adapter made. Though very happy with attempt three!

Try printing holes slightly smaller then run a drill bit through them.
Gives cleaner holes and you control the finished size better.

Yeah cheers did think about that and probably will do going forward my hands very wobbly today after a night of extreme drinking. Hahaha. Next purchase? A way to make a vertical drill from my rotary tool? Ideas?

A tacklife can’t find original amazon listing anymore. Think this isnit. Been really good used it to sand the frame down under water
There are printable ones. If they dont fit, mod it in tinkercad.
