Last year while flying my RC-N1 died mid flight fortunately RTH worked perfectly. I am not an electronics expert and could find no reason. I replaced it with a new one which was fine.
This year I have not flown much so was doing my three monthly battery refresh when the new controller was unresponsive. I left it connected to the charger and a day later it came back. I took it for a test flight and it seemed fine. Three weeks later I was planning a flight and it flashed up and went dark. It has not come back this time. I have not done any updates for a long time as it did what I wanted. Coincidentally the day before the Huawei tablet I use with it has also died but I use that for many other things and have had it a while, however it is odd.
There seems to be quite a few of these controller failures but mainly after a firmware update as I understand. I don’t know whether it is worth getting it repaired or just getting another off e bay. If anyone wants to play/investigate them let me know.
I have lost faith and picked up a Mini 3 pro with the all in controller so I hope that will last longer.!
