Did part of the Gulf War outload from there✅but mostly from Hameln and Hildesheim (war reserve)

Hameln we had a rail spur directly into the camp and I ran the 3 Engineer Parks in Hameln, great days hard work and just me and my Buddy were military the rest civilians who did a GREAT job 24/7:+1::wink::sunglasses:

Many days n the ‘strip’. First went there seconded to Ex Elephant Tusk - tripartite rush to Berlin. We were billeted at Normandy in transit and found an SMG left in a locker by an umpire’s driver. I wanted to sell it to a septic but my nco took it to SIB at Normandy. Spent hours there makings statements. Three years later I was living in Neuhaus on attachment to 570 US Missile Reg at Barker Barracks. That was mid to late 70s. Happy daze.
