Should I buy a DJI Mavic Mini 1 for £150?

Can agree with that… Sold my Mini 1 fly more combo week before last for £300- cost me a whopping £57 for 20 months of flying!

You made a killing on that sale :clap:t2:

Just two weeks ago the Mini 1 Flymore was only £229 in Argos

It’d been on gumtree since before Christmas at that price- wasn’t seriously thinking it would go, but thought “if it does, it’s more towards a Mini2” and chanced it.

To be fair, he did haggle me down to £285, but then wanted it delivered and demoed so back to £300- and then to make sure he had my correct bank details sent me £1 so technically £301.

And the next day they released the SE !!!

Somehow I can sleep well at night :joy: :joy: :joy:

I believe this is an Argos thing, they try and be the cheapest on the internet but have a go at buying one… None in stock… Not availlable for collection or delivery, Half of Argos’s catalogue is like this… De values products in my mind.

I’ve had my (second) Mini 1 for coming up to a year now and I have to say I do seem to get plagued with low signal warnings if I’m anywhere near civilisation.

Lost the first one very early on after a connection issue, but I was standing next to an electricity substation at the time (expensive lesson learned). I replaced it like-for-like, but if I were to do it again I’d definitely go for the Mini 2 instead, in the hopes of a more robust connection. Even now, not being a particularly frequent flyer, I toy with the idea of upgrading.

Rarely any issues out in the open countryside though.

And you can’t really argue with the price.

Once you get near any concentration of WiFi the original Mini let’s you down.

Or mine did , no such issues with the 2

Easiest solution would get a store card and buy the mini2 over 12months ,it works out at £10 a week 52 weeks it’s paid for that way you get a much better drone for your money

@Condor That might be the easiest way financially, but not with SWMBO!

To defend Argos it is a clearance sale on a discontinued product.

There were plenty in stock at that price when it was first announced @Condor

A post was merged into an existing topic: First drone Mini 2 or Mavic Air 2?

OK, so you know that thing about slippery slopes…?

I bought the Mavic Mini for £160 (well actually bought TWO Mavic Minis, awaiting the result of an eBay claim for one of them not turning up), and was so impressed compared to the Hubsan, that I yesterday purchased a Mini 2 Combo pack for £300. Arrived today, and wow I’m seriously hooked

So now I have amassed three drones for a few days until I return the Mavic Mini to the seller (14 day return period), and the Hubsan will also get sold I think.

No more drone purchases for me…my bank account has taken a right beating these past few weeks
