I love what can be done on these machines and ever so often tempted when see something like this.
I would buy a grabber just to always have one for a emergency, would this be attached to a cord, as a hand can help push it down and grab would it do the same attached to the cord ?
I think a few of these should be first packed for the GADC big meets 
Love the vid background music as only for that played it few times for a good laugh

Yes it can and will be attached to a cord. Three out of the four brass nuts and screws arrived. Still awaiting the brass M10 dome nut for the top. Couldn’t wait for it so assembled it and printed my own.

As much as these look great and what they can be used for, I do worry that it could get stuck on something or the drone you want to rescue and fail to release itself, there has to be some kind of safety release on the drone with this equipment otherwise you could end up with 2 lost drones

Nice! I didn’t receive my brass dome nut so I printed one just to build mine. Don’t think it is strong enough especially with all the weight of the other brass fittings.
I think the smaller size might be useful for smaller drone but you definitely need a quick release system
If anyone uses PLA Silk this is a brilliant offer, I have the blue already and it is mint, shame I don’t use silk more otherwise I would snap this up
