Solway Viaduct remain/Bowness on Solway - Added to Coastal Scenery in North West

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

All that remain of the Solway viaduct near the small village of Bowness on Solway. It opened in 1869 and was a mile long.

This photo is taken from the English side looking over to Scotland. From this location get great drone views of England, Scotland, Criffle and the north lake district mountain.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 27/02/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Many thanks, for the initial post.

I want to fly here, but there are no parking or take off and landing markers. Can anyone that has flown here or knows the area add some markers to the map please?

Hi @Trainman, it looks as though you’re quite new here :wave:t2:

Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself. :+1:t2:
