Sospan Dau

This is a quick and dirty phone video - complete with dodgy digital zoom and shaky image. It shows the Dutch suction dredger Sospan Dau discharging shingle onto Hayling Island beach as part of the replenishment of the storm defences. It had previously sucked up the shingle from a few miles out in the Solent.

Welsh speakers will be wondering why the vessel is called Saucepan Two. Simple, it is the successor to Saucepan One. More at Sospan Dau - Wikipedia
