Sound tracks on videos

I have tried several times now to upload a video with a sound track, but Youtube keeps rejecting the sound track.

Q. Where can I find Youtube acceptable sound tracks?

Easiest way is go into your YouTube Studio and download some royalty free from the Audio Library

these the two i use or if it is a popular track i pay and download a Karaoke version

Thanks to @milkmanchris, @Onanist and @stevesb for your help. I now have videos with soundtrack…the silent movies days may well be over :smiley:

I’m curious to know what you’ve been using that gets outright rejected. I’ll often use copyrighted music and usually I am told that “the copyright holders are allowing you to use it” but that just means I can’t monetise the video, and I’m light years away from being able to monetise videos anyway. Sometimes it will mean my video is blocked “in certain territories” (usually Russia, etc.) and on very rare occasions the copyright holders don’t allow their music to be used, but I think that’s only happened twice in all the years I’ve been shoving videos on YouTube.

Hi Earwig,

My music tastes are quite eclectic and come from a variety of sources. Some come from posted music videos on YouTube and have the soundtrack saved as MP3s; others come from CDs or, on rare occasions, from Amazon Music.

As a learner flyer, I don’t post much. Tonight’s videos are basically my first public posting. The few I have posted before tended to be targeted to specific GADC members.

It could easily be finger trouble or maybe YouTube doesn’t like me. :slightly_smiling_face:
