I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:
Land owner permission requirements unknown.
Southsea Castle was built in 1544. It now has a brewery inside but was closed when I was there so can't vouch for the quality of the beer.
The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 02/08/2024. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

I use the green next door as a TOAL location for flights out to Spitbank Fort.
I went for a walk along the new sea defences and found a lovely bench and table set, which is only about 100 feet away from Southsea Castle, and which I used as my TOAL site for Southsea Castle, The War Memorial and Spitbank Fort.

wish I had flown out to the forts, never thought about it. Next time I will, thanks for the tip

@grandad1950 From the bench in my photo to Spitbank Fort was 3500 feet if I remember correctly.
I was on the green beside the castle, appox 3,710 feet when I headed out there.
