SpeedyBee Bee25 - Which Air Unit

At the moment, I’m currently building a SpeedyBee Bee25, which is designed to have the O3 air unit fitted. This is my first build, and I don’t have goggles yet.

Which air unit should I go for? On one hand, the O3 air unit is a bit cheaper, and I have nothing to compare it to. On the other hand, the O4 pro is newer etc, but would mean I need to make a mount work for it.

Depends which goggles you go for.

I haven’t fully decided which goggles, but it will be one of the sets compatible with both o3 and o4

In that case I have nothing to add… I suggest watching videos and choosing.

Personally I’m going for O4.

This is the main decider along with budget.

If budget is no issue then 03 goggles and 04 air units (probably the light one)

If budget is sensitive then some great deals can be found on the goggles 2 or goggles integra and either the light o4 or 03 air unit.

My personal experience has been that newly released dji products tend to have limits on backward compatibility where as the 03 or even vista’s will have more compatibility for when you decide to buy more drones (you will buy more, trust me).

Though to be fair if budget is sensitive Goggles N3 are also an option…

I’ve got the O3 version, and it’s a solid quad. There’s an O4 upgrade kit available, so if I ever decide to upgrade, it should be a pretty straightforward process.

If you’re building from scratch, I’d recommend going with the O4, depending on your budget. My only complaint is that the antenna holders break easily, so it’s worth grabbing a spare set or 3D printing replacements—STL files are available on their site.

Very true. I’d imagine their forward compatibility will be limited as often the case with DJI.

O4 head upgrade now pre-ordered! Thank you
