Spennymoor Town Centre - Added to Everything Else in County Durham, North East

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

In the heart of Spennymoor lies its busy town centre, surrounded by shops, businesses, public spaces and streets that form an important part of everyday life in the local community. Spennymoor grew considerably during the 19th century, with coal mining, ironworking and other industries playing an important role in the town’s development.

One of the most notable events held in the town is the Spennymoor Gala, an annual community celebration that brings people together with entertainment, activities, stalls, music and attractions. The event has become an important part of the local calendar, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the town centre and surrounding areas.

These aerial photographs were captured while I was flying my drone during the Spennymoor Gala, providing a unique perspective of the town centre while the event was taking place. The images capture the busy atmosphere of the day and show Spennymoor from above during one of its biggest community events of the year.

From its industrial past to the modern-day community that continues to call it home, Spennymoor Town Centre remains an important part of the town’s identity and local heritage.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 04/07/2026. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location. Landowner permission may be required before taking off.
