I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

2000×1694 443 KB

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

Great views of Spice Island, the Solent, Ferries, shipping and Spinnaker Tower.

Pubs good and can get busy during opening hours.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 20/07/2024. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

I’ve flown here too @grandad1950, and damned sketchy it was too ! Was a very windy day when I did it, and my GPS was flakey at the time, so there was quite a lot of drifting about, but eventually I got a round of applause from the people in the pub when I got her down again, despite the attentions of 3 angry gulls ! :grin: I think only my big hexa-copter format at the time deterred them - if I’d done it with a Mini they’d have had more confidence and knocked me into the sea !
