Just to let everybody aware that ST. Bennet’s Abbey on the the Norfolk broads now has a no drone policy.
thought I would nip over there to get some images only to find a no drones posted on the notice board, if you dont park in the carpark then you probably wouldn’t see it.
They can only restrict take off and landing from their land (i.e the car park)
They can not stop you flying over the Abbey.
*Its also interesting that they omitted points 1-3 of their factually incorrect policy on the notice board.
I wonder how much their ‘commercial hire’ fee is … ?
Outdated and doesn’t cover 2021 rules for sub 250g so just take off and land elsewhere, fly and seek forgiveness afterwards assuming you’ve got a sub 250g. Take a copy of this with you or something similar.

I like the fact this sheet has a similar look to govt web pages. Whack a CAA logo on it and it looks even more official.
I had a feeling from where they say “monuments from damage” that it’s an fpv hotspot?
Is this the place?
It’s been there a 1000 years, can’t imagine the odd drone strike is gonna bring it to the ground
yep, thats the place.
what a fantastic piece of footage
Exactly … what damage would a mini 2 do, that couldn’t be done by a visitor clambering over the remains? Particularly with NAT sites covered in grass …
