anyone have any thought on the gimbal error i was getting could it be due to the fog as i was doing a poi flight?

@jaybee, it would be really useful if you could share the Airdata logs for this issue, it’ll help people provide you with a more detailed answer based on what actually happened.

If you’re not familiar with Airdata it’s an independent platform that allows you to aggregate your flight records and it also allows you to share logs with other people.

Here’s a guide on how to upload your flight logs to their web site / app:

Setting up Direct DJI Sync

Once your logs are visible in Airdata you can use this guide to share the log(s) in question:

Once you’ve created the share on the Airdata web site simply reply here and paste the URL, someone will then take a closer look for you.

I viewed the flight via my flight logs and it came up with " gimbal roll axis reached movement limits". I thought it was a possibility that it was either due to the fog or I had just updated the new DJI fly app ? Was puzzeled

milkmanchriss how do i import a new flight log in to the air data uav app?

It’s all in the first link :backhand_index_pointing_up:

Then share it here

I’m guessing the poi was lost in the fog and the camera went looking for it resulting in the gimbal jumping about

@jaybee John
I’ll pop this over in the Q&A for you it may get more attention in the hope you may get some answers I hope you don’t mind, as mentioned above Airdata is your best shout mate :+1:

sorry i have been diagnosed with early alzheimer’s and dont understand

many thanks i have been fly dji drones for 10 yrs its not as if i am a novice and i had just updated the new dji fly app

that sounds like the problem i was puzzeled as i had just updated the new dji fly app and ive never every seen this error before so was puzzeled

That might be just coincidental John but this sounds feasible :backhand_index_pointing_down:

milemanchris your post makes sense?
I’m guessing the poi was lost in the fog and the camera went looking for it resulting in the gimbal jumping about.

Just a thought if the fog/mist has cleared where you are is it worth getting it up in the air again to see if it persists or has gone ? Maybe worth a second run :+1:

wont be today there is not a breeze to blow the fog away in edinburgh today lol

i want to thank everyone for there input thank you all

Ah ok that’s a shame other than that maybe as mentioned if you can work out how to share the airdata that may give an inclination for you .

i have alzheimer and cant fathom how to do it sorry i have the flight details just not sure how to share them

when weather improves i will do the flight again it will either confirm it was due to the fog or not, i have flown in fog conditions before but never when using the poi flight .
