I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:
Land owner permission requirements unknown.
St John the Evangelist, Northington.
St John’s Northington is a Grade II* listed building and was built through the generosity of the 4th Lord Ashburton and his wife Leonora. Building work began in 1888 and St John’s was consecrated on 15th October 1890. It replaced a smaller church built in 1832 by Edward Hunt of Alresford that in turn had replaced a mediaeval church.
Just outside the church is a big gravel public car park. This is where I TOAL and parking.
The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 08/05/2024. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

I want to fly here @StunningDrone, have you got any other tips or advice?
Hi Stephen, my only tips are as follows: TOAL landing is easy from the gravel car park and the field from the back The staff are really friendly and happy for you the fly. I was lucky as i drove past I could see the church on the hill so popped over to see if I could film it. Staff were happy and thanked me for taking the time to talk with them. I shared my video YouTube link of the church and its now on their website home page. I would fly in glorious sunshine so you get the red roof beaming against the green grass. The vicar lives next door so go say hi. No flight restrictions that I know of. Go enjoy and film a beautiful church
Hi John, many thanks for your tips, much appreciated. I had a look at your video - very nice indeed. As a relative novice I’ve some way to go to match your efforts. I was looking for some nice quiet and interesting locations and this seems ideal. Looking forward to filming this lovely church. Best wishes

Hi Stephen, you’re welcome and enjoy. I look forward to seeing the results soon. For your reference I was filming down the road only five minutes away at ‘The Grange at Northington’. Maybe you could do both in one day?
