Nice one Jay
How did you find that?
That’s not too far from me and may add it to my list of places to film
Was there any restrictions or nosy people?

Thanks.
Lots of security around. You can actually see 1 of them on patrol in the final scene on the right. We could have got closer and next time we go, we will.
Its defo a place we will be going back to. We now know where to park etc. we kind of went blind this time.

Jay

Think this is same place, some web buddy’s of mine did an Urbex there not so king ago.

Hi Jay
Just looking at having a scoot over to St James’s sometime, any chance on enlightening us where the best place to park etc is by any chance?
Many thanks
Eugene

There is a private road just to the left of the main entrance, up that road is a small layby. The seminary is a very short walk from there. That said, i hear that security has been greatly increased and fences improved. I have not been there for a while so i cant confirm this. I would be very interested to hear what you find there.

Its also worth pointing out that the last time we visited, security was quite happy for us to be there and fly from outside of the fence. Good luck and have fun, its a great site to visit.

Looking at street view and UK footpaths it looks like that road is a public footpath so TOAL somewhere along there must be feasible.
Having a fly over i suppose security can’t stop you.
Having a sneaky :face_with_monocle: inside might be out of the question by the sounds of it though
Thanks

Got down there today and parked where you mentioned. That road is a public footpath with some pretty tall trees so vlos is awkward from there. I went in the grounds and had a good walk around, it was really quiet so found a clearing and cracked on with a few flights. There was what looked like another Mavic having a scoot around also, anyone from here?
It’s flipping hard to see it in the air on your phone so struggled to capture it flying near mine.
Large fence around the building with lots of cameras and guards about so no chance of getting physically close to the buildings.
I got collard by the guards when leaving but they were very polite when telling me off!
They said there’s no problem walking around as long as you stay outside the fence, the fence was put up about 12mths ago.
Innitially they said you can’t fly over the property, but I politely corrected him on that one and once he could tell l knew what I was talking about he was very chatty.
They actually recommended TOAL places! Across the road (another public footpath there) vlos may be awkward mind, or from the country park behind which may be a good shout if you pop some lights on due to it being a little further out but seems to be elevated above the site.
What a building and what a shame we will probably never see it in its former glory, great site and definitely worth a little visit, apparently the windows are going to be all boarded up soon.
Cheers
Eugene
