St Peter's Court, Lowestoft. UKs most Eastern Tower Block

Built in 1968 to replace the slums which had been demolished a few years before, St Peters Court is now in it’s final dying days. Only two tenants remain (Myself and a Polish chap) and as such I am the last person who was born in the town to live in it. 90 two bedroom flats which are being replaced by 6 2 bedroom houses as this country doesn’t appear to like tower blocks for poor people. Those kinds of views can only be found now if you pay.

I will be moving out myself in 6 days

Can’t complain too much though, I’ve got a freshly refitted 2 bedroom council house with a garden big enough to land a Harrier in to go to with £8100 compensation cash money to follow a week later.

Headset or council tax… Hmmm, choices.

Wouldn’t want to be one of your neighbours, when they flatten that tower.

They’ll be living in and eating dust for months. :flushed:

It’s looks to be in a decent condition from the outside.

Enjoy your new home and spending the compo.

They aren’t dropping it with explosives, it’s being gutted then taken down brick by brick but they don’t even have a contractor for that yet.

Thank you. I do fancy Goggles 2
