I was fortunate enough to go to the Falklands in Nov last year, had a full weekend of going around the various memorials around the island. Also got the oppotunity to say my farewells to a very good friend who lost his life when the heli went down during a transfer.
Visited the museum and watched the video’s the islanders had put together, brought the 3 of us to tears.
What really got me, was how the locals really look after all the memorials, all are immaculate, including the Argentinan war cemetry.
So glad I went and hoping to get the opportunity again later this year.
