Star Wars Speeder Bike

Treated myself to a Propel Speeder Bike, £34.99 from Amazon. I can remember these in the shops a few years ago over £200. This is not my video but check 3m 30s in for just the unboxing. Remote has all the lights & music, the drone LEDs and battle mode laser tag if I can find anyone with one near me. Absolutely love it for entertainment value alone.

P.S. It does fly!

Never saw them the first time round, would’ve splurged £200 no doubt!

What’s it like to fly? Might get a couple to dogfight with the nephews!

No GPS but barometric pressure for height so it’ll hold steady-ish. Slight breeze moves it around but you’ll be fine in an open space with nothing to hit, besides the nephews. Comes with a very light prop guard and so far it’s bounced off obstacles or fallen with no damage. Comes with spares for all the parts you’re likely to break including props. They’re even LiPo batteries, 2 of them with up to 8 minutes life in each but they charge in 30 minutes.

Found an app for it tonight. Install the app, stick it in the pull-out phone holder built into the remote, connect to the remote over Bluetooth and learn how to fly it without the drone.

It’s the detail, as well as the case, that surprises me like the screwdriver to undo the remote’s battery holder is fitted into the side of the remote, star wars style of course.

Sounds too good to be true! Maybe not for £200 but at the amazon price, def worth a punt!

That looks like quite good fun
