Stock levels at DJI for Motion Controller V2

Tried the new MC2 today and ****t it is so so sensitive I actually had to remove the goggles to regain control from an initiated ‘pause’. ( I Panicked) Not sure if its just me or I am missing something here. My settings are normal mode and all the gains are defaults. The thumbwheel on the left hand side of the controller does nothing although Im assuming its because the goggles are not a latest version… Oh well now I have got my nerve back will try again, I want to get this controller to be as easy as the first one but reckon its gonna take a lot of perseverance. Maybe a visit to Thailand and a whacky backy shop will ease the nerves lol

Everything seemed normal to me the other night, I’ll give it another go later on and get back to you :+1:

I defo couldn’t fly a drone after any wacky backy:nauseated_face::face_vomiting:. Not even to calm nerves.

Just an update.

Everything good :+1:.

The joystick introduces roll in flight. So instead of your Avata wanting to spin when you tilt the cont., if you tilt and move the joystick in the same direction you get a sharper banked turn. Cool👍.
Just watch though, I learned (the hard way😁), roll and ease out of a turn with the joystick don’t just tilt the opposite way with the cont. For one the drone doesn’t like it and two it really looks crap on video.

Using the JS for up and down while in flight is great, it means you don’t have to see sky or grass when gaining or loosing height, you just keep the horizon and raise up. Good stuff :+1:

This is all with gains maxxed out and in sport mode.

Flying backwards without headtracking is a proper novelty😁!

The wheel does what it says on the tin, alter the gimbal and access the camera settings, which is useful :+1:

Great update thanks… I have been messing round with it and have now got used to the additional functionality and like you have found the joystick a huge benefit. The dial does not work with my goggles and this has only just become apparent after reading the FAQ’s on the DJI shop page, not a deal breaker but a clever bit of marketing to not make the incompatibilities a bit more visible. I wrote to DJI yesterday and have asked them when they will be releasing a firmware upgrade to provide full functionality. I don’t think they will though… more sales of compatible goggles perhaps ? Even without the dial the MC2 is really good though. Im in a NFZ but have just got my unlock approved so I can test again tomorrow in the garden. I am no where near maxing out the gains still a bit more practice lol
