Strathclyde Loch, Motherwell - Added to Lakes and Reservoirs in Scotland

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

Enter Strathclyde Park from the Motherwell end. Parking is available on the south side of the loch near the water sports centre.
This loch was artificially created in the 1970s, flooding the area of Bothwellhaugh, including the former mining village of the same name. Located within Strathclyde Country Park, the Strathclyde Loch is the home of the Strathclyde Park Water-Sports Centre, an internationally renowned water-sports venue that has held rowing events as part of the 1986 Commonwealth Games and the 1996 World Rowing Championships. Covering an area of 200 acres the loch is used for rowing, jet skiing, canoeing, wind-surfing, dingy sailing and water skiing.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 15/09/2021. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
