Strobon cree bottom mounts for mini 2

Has anyone used one of these 3d printed bottom mounts? are they any good and where did you purchase them from? Also, any other idea’s on mounting these very bright (still can’t focus properly!!) :joy:
I see @FFf has done the USB port one just seeing if there are different options

If you know anyone local with a printer the stl file is available for free on thingiverse… ran it through my slicer and cost to print is 78p and just over an hour.
Also best printing with Petg, its more flexible, stronger and less likely to deform with any kind of heat ie from the led, drone etc in summer time…

Just being picky now but they advertise it being printed in pla+ and being 10x stronger than pla… Not true, its only slightly stronger. Petg is your best option.

Thanks, Alan will have a look at Thingiverse :+1:

I will be willing to purchase one for my Mini 2 if one is going… :grinning:

I like it but I be very dubious putting it near to the internals.

Past experience with placing a tracker not strobe I know but compass error magnetic interference was happing and finally after moving around I found sides or on mount away from center.

not saying strobe board and metal would do this but seen somewhere else about compass reset every time they go flying.

I would rather strobe pointing forward or backward not downwards losing the full potential of the strobe, again maybe it’s a great idea facing down as it’s 360° visual but not knowing front or back?, I know it’s only needs unclipping to access battery indicator and on off button but I love life easier especially at night fiddling around changing batteries.

Sorry crumpy old man opinion :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
