Hello,
Just wondering if anyone might be able to help. I am building my first drone and just trying to set up my radio. I downloaded expresslrs configurator and have been trying to flash the set up to the Tx. But I can’t connect my radio to my computer. On device manager I can just see jumper t20s …. And a warning triangle. I tried installing the cp210x driver from silicon labs but my computer just came up with a message saying you already have the best drivers bla bla. I then just tried on on my laptop for luck but the same situation. Anyone know what I can do?
I did have a good watch of that and his other elrs related vids but I couldn’t seem to find a mention of it elrs.org is where I found that I would need to download a new driver for the usb. This computer stuff frazzles my brain maybe I should try flashing it through WI-FI although for some reason I thought I couldn’t do it for the first flash. Am I just being stupid?
Thanks for your help though
Personally I now use WiFi to flash transmitters and receivers, it has become very reliable now with the later releases of ELRS and removes the hassle of additional cables and drivers etc.
Give it a try, persevere, you’ll get there
As @Steviegeek has said use wifi.
Now heres a crux with the jumper T20 which i had 2 weeks ago.
I was trying to set up and bind a new rx but my lad had put in the binding phrase slightly wrong ( used auto fill which left a space at the end) i was trying to connect via wifi and somehow connected to the home wifi. Once thus has happened the T20 will always try to connect to that and you / i will struggle to connect to elrs configurator.
What i did was drive down the road and connect the T20 to the speedybee app on my phone.
This then corrected the issue and can now again connect to the pc as intended.
All sorted I tried Wi-Fi then halfway through flash my computer connected back to the home Wi-Fi and then it wouldn’t connect back to Wi-Fi. I then tried a different version of the driver from st microelectronics which seemed to do the job.
Thank you all for your help. Can’t wait to get in the air!
Hi,
Can I ask you guys thoughts on something? Being quite new to fpv I spend half my ‘flights’ crashed into the ground so I want to 3d print some parts to minimise any damage. At first I made these to keep the drone away from the ground but at 9 grams each and on the corners it seemed a bit heavy.
And I thought about printing some landing feet that sandwich between the two centre plate things using the holes for extra security but I haven’t seen that done and I thought there might be a reason behind that?
I also want to be careful of water damage because I have been flying in a field and the ground is quite damp. I put some tape between the standoffs to protect the stack from the bits of wet grass that like to be sprayed around. If I were to tape round the front and the back do you think it might overheat the electrics?
