Can you please save some of Scotland for us that live here Suzanne? I think I’ve managed about 30 minutes of flying this year as the weather has been awful. Apart from the times it has been nice but I’m stuck inside working.
Definitely think Scottish Tourist Board should be shown that reel (was that a pun )
I presume you must have quite an archive of Scottish views already - if it gets serious you should definitely be monetising ( luv that word) the videos.
Suzzane. I don’t know if you can help as I am experienced IT person and should be able to fix this. When I upload to youtube its rubbish quality, everone else seems ok, especially yours. I do upload at HD quality, locally its good of course. Do you have a subscription which gives better results ?
I have no idea where most of those places are and I live in Scotland but I have never ever travelled unlike a lot of people but I have to say that video footage is outstanding Great work
You might want to post in the video help category if you want to dig down into this. The main gist is that your video is only showing a maximum of 1080p in YouTube.
As YouTube reencodes the videos you upload, if you can upload in 4K/30 or 60fps then that will be about the best you can get.
Depends on what the source video was filmed at and your video editing software.
You should be rightly proud of that video, Suzanne. The editing was just spot on.
I’m a newcomer to drones having just bought an Air 3S.
We love Scotland too and will definately take ours on our next visit.
Did you teach yourself the flying/video techniques, or have you had lessons at all?
However you learned, it was all stunning. Well done!
Steve
Optical flow is amazing, but best not to have it on until you are rendering or it slows down the editing. I read somewhere that you could just enable it for Delivery, must check it out.
Thanks, Paul, there is still a lot of Sotland to capture yet - even if I was at it full-time I think it would take several years more work to see it all, let alone capture it in all its moods… I only get limited windows to film - basically holidays, so 3 weeks a year, so have to film whenever I can…
Thanks Digby, nothing would give me more pleasure than to be paid to capture Scotland in all it beauty, but I think I am still a long way from that as yet…
Have contacted STB, and tagged them on the video, let see what they think…
No subscription, jut rendered in DR at 4k 60fps and 120000 quality, then uploaded to YT - it can take a few hours to go from basic quality to 4K, but I am married to a Yorkshireman, so no paying for owt in our hose, all programs and websites have to be free - apart from GADC of course
Send me a link to your channel and I will take a look
