The good old Spar.

That place must make a fortune…

I can’t get my bearings, that’s the M2 but is that heading out of the city towards Sandyknowles Roundabout?

I also didn’t realise how close Glengormley town centre is to the M2. It’s amazing how you get a new perspective on things with our little devices.

It is indeed. On the right that’s the McDonalds and Eurospar on the Antrim Road.
I hadn’t realised how close it was either until I first saw the aerial pictures.

Yeah, isn’t it amazing!?
I think that’s what surprised me the most when I first started flying them.

I’ve driven through Glengormley and up the M2 many, many times but that’s brilliant from that perspective. I thought Sandyknowles Roundabout would have been in that picture but I guess it’s much further up the road.

BTW, every time I drive, I’m looking for spots to take off from. I was up at Knockagh Monument today and besides using my drone up there, I think I spotted a place or 2 I could also take off from.

Love it!

Thanks! You could probably see the roundabout if the trees around there were thinned a bit.

I’m the same when looking at maps now
That’s something else that makes the drones addictive - looking at the pictures and videos from one flight to scout out the next one!

Haven’t been up to Knockagh in years. It does look like a good spot from your pictures :+1:

Carnmoney Hill on a clear day is worth the walk.
Can see Slemish and a bit of Lough Neagh.

Maybe I timed it right as there was one family that were leaving but I got a good 20 minutes of flying before someone else came. You can’t really walk your dog for fear of the cliff so I don’t think it’s a popular spot. You well might break the 120m rule by flying over the edge but oh well, such is life lol.

I’ve been to quite a few spots now and it’s been the best for my drone, even if the weather wasn’t great. As I said, I spotted a few places along the way that I might be able to take off from

Cool, I must try and get and get over there.
I bet the golfers at Greenisland couldn’t tell if the closest point to ground was over 120m a bit

It’s good when there aren’t many people around - less pressure.
Although I’ve found that most people either don’t notice a drone or pay it little attention if they do.
Only two people have stopped and shown any curiosity so far.

Hope you get some decent weather to fly your spots. :crossed_fingers:
