Sunnylife (ebay) motor covers useless for mini 2

Purchased a set of motor covers on ebay for my mm2.
Made by sunnylife for the mavic mini series.
Don’t know if they fit the mini 1, I certainly had a problem fitting the props onto the covers on my mm2. When screwed as much as possible the props were loose on the screw spindle.

Why would you want to cover the motors?

Surely it introduces the risk of overheating or imbalance.

Got to agree, blocking the natural ventilation of the motors is not a good idea :grimacing:

Many will disagree on that. I like flying on/near beaches where sand/dust is a risk.
Dos’nt matter now though as i wont be fitting any

It looks like there’s a vent hole, the prop blades are supposed to be free and not locked down, the screws should be thread locked with Blue thread lock to keep them in place…

The rotors should spin relatively freely on the bushing, screwing it down too tightly will likely damage the threads/bushes/rotors… Or worse not allow the rotors to spin out…

I use these on one of my drones without overheating issues (Anafi Thermal) purely because of the open nature of the motors and the environment it flies in…

Are you sure they are for the M2 as the Mini has different threaded screws.

Just asking

That’s what I explained to the seller in China (ebay) they are selling these for the mavic mini series. Should be mini 1.
My fault for not double checking what I am buying
