@WorldInFocus Nice picture there sir!. Your positioning must be right on the button for NFZs, Warton on one side and Blackpool airport the other.
I’ve been meaning to get over there as it’s just up the road from me but not got round to it yet due to those retched NFZs.

There’s a nice little corridor, thankfully.

Check it out:

And:

Just as well you can request access to fly inside the FRZs eh

Blackpool are particularly accommodating to drone flight requests :+1:t2:

@PingSpike After seeing the image i went straight away to the Dronescene link on my phone and read the bit you just put above. (so much easier to have just one link on my phone BTW. Thanks again to @BadManners for the explain last week.)

Is there a resource available to allow this type contact like a directory or is it just a Google thing?

Mike

Yup, it was built in to a recent update of Drone Scene

Ensure you have the Flight Restrictions layer turned on, the phone numbers are available at the bottom of the info pop up:

Also at weekends warton are as well the last time i rang their exact words were, “we are closed at the weekend, fill your boots” which means at weekends to the south and east youve got loads of room.
But still phone and check with warton as they are not shut every weekend.

Yeah. Its very tight between the 2 zones. Plus it’s a DJI Auth zone close to the windmill. You can fly anywhere on the promenade as long as you stay off the estuary side. Its such a nice place to fly but only a very small area to fly legally. The DJI areas are wrong as you can’t fly over the jetty as its below the runway extension. I was hoping to contact Warton and see if i can get permission for weekends as they are normally shut.

@WorldInFocus

I’ve looked at the DJI NFZ map and can’t get what you mean.

and

i’m not familiar with that term, can you explain a bit more maybe please?

Nice picture Ian, wonder when the sails are getting replaced? I fly my mini around this area a bit but am very new to this & been a bit nervous. I tried to get closer to windmill the other day but it wouldn’t let me & a warning message came up.

“I’ve looked at the DJI NFZ map and can’t get what you mean.”

In the DJI NFZ the areas state that you can fly over the jetty as long as your below 60m but the NFZ on Noflyzones says you can’t fly over the jetty at all.

“it’s a DJI Auth zone close to the windmill”

The windmill is in an Authorisation Zone and to fly close to the windmill you have to unkock the zone before flying.

In the area around the windmill is an Authorisation Zone. You can unlock it either on the DJI FlySafe website flysafe-website-fe or in the app as long as your registered and logged into your account.
