This popped up in Immich today telling me it was one year ago, so thought I’d share it here.
Captured around sunset in early April 2025, these clips and photos show the effects of prescribed burning across the Lower Blue Mountains and nearby Windsor Downs Reserve. The lingering smoke usually makes for some incredibly vibrant sunsets for a few days afterward.
I don’t actually know. Just googled and you don’t really get a straight answer. They certainly consider lots of aspects of the weather for obvious reasons and I guess one of the considerations would be where the smoke ends up but not sure how high or low in the list of priorities this would be.
