Same, although I did find this so I think the upper & given the daily rags report / reputation is total utter tosh,
Below don’t make no sense either, on one hand it says diverted to Gatwick on the other it says returned to Zurich :person_shrugging:t2:

Swiss Airlines flight LX324 (Zurich to London) had a significant incident two days ago (around January 14-15, 2026, Jan 17, 2026), returning to Zurich due to engine vibrations, causing major delays or cancellation, with some passengers reporting diversions or significant disruptions, highlighting potential ongoing issues for the airline.

Looks like Swiss Air had a tech issue. Engine vibration quite often ends up with an engine change. The cost for that away from your home base in Zurich is very high so they probably went back to base to save money. Flight disruptions/delays are secondary because they would have incurred those costs anyway by continuing the flight to London (LHR or LGW).

Then some passenger jumps to conclusions, posts it on social media and viola - we have yet another drone incident that will never be confirmed or more importantly – denied.

Just my thoughts - probably way of the mark but one thing is almost certain - there was no drone involved. :man_facepalming: :man_shrugging:

The Swiss aircraft diverted.

A user named Josh posted on X (formerly Twitter): “I’m on the flight that’s been diverted to Gatwick. Apparently some moron decided it was a good day to fly his drone over Heathrow.”

So the Independent q uotes “auser named Josh” who has posted on Twitter X

Well researched Independent! I assuming your “journalist” was sitting drinking coffee and scrolling through their social media.

They do the same thing with air rifles everything is blamed on them when it turns out they were either BB guns or shotguns , can’t believe a thing the main Media prints !

I am unlikely to take anyone called ‘Josh’ seriously anyway. I’m certainly not going to believe hos moron comment; trained observer with a proper position to look out from in your passenger seat, are you, then, Josh?

Thought not.

What a bizarre comment.

To Josh someone is a slang term to kid them along, wind them up, or just be joking ‘Joshing’ so can you take someone called Josh serious? Much better than being a Karen.

Tom? As in tomfoolery? Maybe we shouldn’t take you seriously either.

Just kidding, and making a point about how rediculous it is to be prejudiced based on a name (Mr TheJohnster).

Anyway, back to the more serious business of invisible drones disrupting airports.

Dont worry all his posts are ridiculous. You soon learn to bypass them.

I think you’re being a little too harsh. Every now and then there is a genuine useful fact or observation hidden among the ramblings.
