After what seems like weeks of rain and grey, I took advantage of yesterday’s sun to fly the various beaches of St. Ives, Cornwall. I hope you enjoy the views
Your usual excellent Cornish vid.
I was in Cornwall over Christmas … based near Newquay.
Took my drones, but constant misty/foggy/drizzly weather meant they never even got charged up.
Yet another excellent Cornish video. Thanks for sharing.
It’s been pretty much the same since then, non stop
Many thanks for the kind words
Any vids of the whale that’s been around those parts? That appeared the day after I headed home.
My luck in its usual form.
Particularly like the crashing waves.
I’ve seen a couple, but they’re not mine
Yup, me too. It was surprisingly windy, hence the choppy sea
So nice to see your work again - enjoyable - thanks.
Enjoyed very much, as I have been to St Ives a few times. The waves looked a bit scary, how far were you from them, I ask as I lost a film SLR over 40 years ago to a wave there?
Peter
Thanks so much
Thanks for the kind comments. I was on a bench above where the waves were breaking - you can see me in the 2nd slow mo clip where the drone is facing back towards the land, so it was easy to make sure I and the drone were not in danger of being caught by the waves - I zoomed in a little too when editing the clip. I’m always extra careful when filming breaking waves as I lost my first drone (a Mavic Air 2) about 3 years ago in the sea when it got caught by spray from a breaking wave when I got too close, and it then just shut down and was lost to the deep!!
Brilliant video. The rainbows in the water spray up the rocks, beautiful.
Thanx so much for the kind words. I spent a long time waiting for that small rainbow
I can iamgine . Great shots
Really nice video. Well done
Thanks for the kind words
Beautiful! I love the wild sea shots and the expertly done revolve about the lighthouse. Well done.
Thank you so much for the kind words
