Unfortunately I fly out to Turkey on 4 June so won’t be able to make it. Have fun all of those that do go. I look forward to seeing some if the results on here.
Thanls for that. Hopefully I will be able to make it. I may take my drone to Turkey but as I normally barely get further than the pool it probably won’t be very interesting to others.
Hi, all booked and paid for. 2 attending, 1 flying. Non participating is a blue badge holder. Just thought I’d advise as i couldn’t do so on booking form. An FYI for your planning. Hopefully I can make it this year. Looking forward to meeting you all. Am I right in assuming dogs are permitted?
Is there anything like a timetable available?
For example, what is a good time for a day visitor to arrive?
What time is the briefing, and what time does flying start/finish.
I’m 90 miles away so need to plan my trip.
10am is a good time on the Saturday, and that is when the safety briefing usually takes place, however all the safety briefings are posted on laminated sheets at the TOAL point, there are always lots of members about who help with this and can offer advice, and one of the Committee is never far away , again to assist.
Its not unusual for people to be flying at sunrise, and well into the night, although we usually ask people to not fly after midnight to respect our neighbours and those attendees who get an early night.
I find it really difficult to find out the actual details for this event as it’s just like to forum posts rather than one dedicated poster or info about the event.
If someone can just send me a link or post below what happens at these events or any structure for the event I’d appreciate it so I know whether to book on.
For example are there things going on during the day, are there only certain times you can fly or is it a first come first served or booking to fly? Just a general vibe to the weekend would be great thanks.
