With the turn in seasons and the ‘good’ weather just around the corner, its time to start thinking of getting out again more regularly.

What better way to plan for the summer than getting yourself booked in for the Big Meet.

@Committee are busy planning to make V8.0 of the Big Meet the biggest and best one yet.

Hope to see as many of you there as possible, whether this is your 8th visit or you’re a Big Meet virgin

Hi All,

I’ve been really busy of late, but am not going to miss this event, I made it last year and will have placed a request for permission to attend this years event! As long as I get the nod from the power that be (read the wife)!

All being well, I’ll see you all again in June!

Having just spoken to ‘She who should be obeyed’ I now have the required permission to attend! Looks like I’ll see you there! I’ll fill in the form and pay in the next few days…

Sooo, Im new to FPV, 32 year old electronics engineer and have recently sparked a deep obsession with FPV Drones but its getting a bit lonesome flying on my own. im in the Lancashire area and this would be quite the long trip so would people say it’s worth it to make the trip? especially if you’re a little bit on the timid side? :sweat_smile:

Deffo worthwhile, check out the previous events listed in the 2nd post above.

Failing that the NW group have many smaller meets throughout the year, sign up to @group-northwest and keep an eye out for anything upcoming, a lot of them are FPV’ers

Definitely worth it.

I’m not into FPV .. but were I to make that move then I’d definitely head to the Big Meet to pick the brains of the many, very welcoming and helpful, FPV flyers that attend.

Well worth the trip. There are years of knowledge attending the big meet, also people that are new to FPV, who have been in exactly the same boat as you, just learning, but a bit introverted. Once they have met up, not only have they gone home with new found knowledge but have left having gained some awesome friends, and gained in confidence.

Unfortunately my health hasn’t improved since being knocked down by a car in June.

Therefore I am not going to make this.

I am sure it will be the success it always is.

i have yet to attend a big meet hopefully i will this year . have booked my works motor in the week the meet is on for some snagging and some modifications to be done so providing nothing personal gets in the way ill attend

I am disabled and can only walk with a rollator or walking frame which means there are few places I can fly my drone in crowded West Sussex. What’s the access like in the BIG MEET? Thanks
