The Bone Caves of Inchnadamph, NC500, Assynt, Scotland

Another video from our recent Scotland trip… The haunting Bone Caves of Inchnadamph, a long and difficult path, with a fair bit of exposed ascent, but the still serenity and sacred vibe of the place made the trip very worthwhile…

Filmed on a Sunday when the EGR610 RAF Low Flying Zone was inactive - hence we could fly drones without issue - this was the day’s final stop, followed by the 3-mile walk back down to the car - in torrential rain!

Nice. I rode past the caves on the motorbike last year but didn’t have a clue they were there.

I do have a mild criticism though… It might be my eyes but the white text gets lost against the light rocks so I had a bit of a struggle reading.

I would put a border or a drop shadow on the text, or stick a 5% gradient bar behind it to help stand out from the background.

Nice video.

As Paul said though, a drop shadow would have made it a lot easier to read, but a great edit nonetheless.

Thanks Paul, yeah, I realised after it was rendered that a drop shadow may work better, will learn from it for the next one…

Thanks, it’s a fair walk, I’d recommend boots and a couple of walking poles, some water and a picnic, and plenty of midge spray if going later than early June…

Personally I’d give the whole West coast a miss altogether from mid May to mid September, the wee biting bastards are absolute torture.
