Thought I,d try a few long exposure shots with the new freewell ND filters that arrived in the post the morning. Took about 100 or so pics and these 3 are the best I could manage. More practice needed, I think.

Thanks Steve. Just my first attempts. It’s surprising how many shots you need to get one half decent one. Was getting wind warnings while taking the turbine so that didn’t help, but to be fair to the Mini 2 it seemed to handle the wind quite well.

Great shots, haven’t got round to trying this. I have all the Freewell filters too but keep forgetting I can do shots like this. Lovely movement in that last pic, well done!

I used the AEB (Advanced Exposure Bracketing) and I shoot the pictures in RAW.
then I merged them together using Lightroom classic and after that, I adjusted a bit the contrast and the noise settings.
The drone is the DJI Mini2

Definitely reminds me of Middle Earth too! Also I,d recommend having a go with the ND filters. Just make sure you have a decent size memory card. You need to take loads of pics (at least I did anyway)

Lol yeah it’s got that feel about it! I use them all the time by mostly for video, keep forgetting they are on drone when I take a picture lol! I’ll get round to it! I did try it once in Mull on a waterfall but when your trying to watch your batteries, you can’t spend too much time on them!

Great shots obviously you have to have a bright day otherwise the iso will be affected ? I have bought a cpl filter but haven’t been able to get out yet …tomorrow looks promising though …well done …Alan

Thanks Alan. Yeah I was starting to lose the light for the weir pics and had to bump the iso up to 400. Hope you managed to get out today with the cpl filter.

After all the rain we had here yesterday, I was passing one of my favourite locations, the River Clyde in Glasgow City Centre, just as the clouds cleared.
Glasgow Tower - Mavic 2 Pro - 1/160 sec @ f6.3, 100iso.
A 3 image pano stitched in LR, processed in PS.
Some images shot on my Nikon Z6 looking in the other direction as the sun went down.

Thanks Ivor. No, just stick to the drone code and you’re fine. I was flying my M2P in the middle of the river so was well over 50m from anyone. TOAL is another matter, if anyone is about I’ll fly my Mini2 but it was very quiet last night so getting the M2P in the air wasn’t an issue. Watch out for the FRZ of Glasgow Airport, it’s only 3.5km from here.
