Best shot of British Camp I’ve seen, tough climb I imagine but well worth it
Well done Chris

Thanks, Steve!

It wasn’t too bad, it certainly doesn’t compare to Pen y Fan (886m). British Camp is only 338m, still taller than Milk Hill, Wiltshire’s tallest point at 295m, which I frequent regularly. It was harder getting down due to the ice and snow. After talking a fall at Barbury Castle this time last year, and tearing my meniscus coming down Pen Y Fan in January, I took it very slowly :grimacing:

@Gavinnewcombe Great Pic. :+1:Remember going up to Skiddaw from the “backend” and there was a little scramble up Ulluc Pike, if I recall correctly. Mind you climbing up to Skiddaw’s summit from its side was scary. Felt like I was falling back and nothing to hold onto… bloooooooody windy on top too.

Frustratingly, I went to take a picture of Keswick from Carl Side and thought I’d get a better view from Skiddaw … Carl side was in the way!

@D0c.Col yeah you have to do a little scrambling to get to the top of Ullock. No way i was doing it yesterday i would have killed myself with crampons on.

Funny how B&W makes the scene a little more eerie looking.:face_in_clouds:. Nice photo.

Douai abbey, just a few shots, no real edit, just the magic wand on I phone & vignette. I have to say, this is the strangest of abbeys I have ever, ever seen in my life ……

@Kirky I agree Richard. I know it sounds bizarre but it reminds me of a semi recumbent dog or a Merc F1 car. :face_with_spiral_eyes: …I said it was bizarre!

Cheers Colin! Small world! It’s only 10 mins from me, Mrs L teaches at the leisure centre there. It’s a lovely village :+1:
