Weston-super-mare old pier

@thewhoosh I remember racing some mates in some sort of bumper type cars on a pier there 40 yrs ago! Cant have been that one could it?

Never forget trip back as my motors big ends went on the motorway! One of my mates went back to Stafford to fetch his Dads estate car to tow me home (couldn’t afford Breakdown Service in them days). Got back at 5am next day.:face_with_spiral_eyes:

Likewise, must get some shots before they start work restoring the old pier

Just googled it and would have been the pier I recalled. Obviously went down hill fast after the early 80s.

DM Me if it is a weekend and we can meet somewhere

Just Another Cloud Shot - Firth of Clyde at 8:44 this evening. After what must have been the quickest strip down of a shoot that @Drumsagard and I have achieved for a while - we nipped across the road from the location for a bit of recreation!! :slightly_smiling_face:

My place of work yesterday, where Gavin @stridingsandal and I were filming a wedding. Ingliston Country Club & Hotel is an award-winning equestrian, conference & wedding venue at Bishopton by the Firth of Clyde. It has certainly changed a lot since I first photographed a wedding here in 2010. Back then it was just the equestrian centre, now it is a sprawling estate with the addition of a hotel, Alpine lodges and Motorhome/RV park.

After a day of winds gusting to 40mph, we managed to get a quick flight in after we finished.
This was the view across the road from Ingliston, looking west down the Firth of Clyde.

Mavic 3 Classic - 5 image HDR.

tells a lot about the wind strength :scream: - could only have been moments between this shot and mine but the cloud structure is quite different

Great shot’s Ian, not so sure about the 3rd one down though… could do with a little (lot ) less exposure.

Like the Conwy castle pic with Deganwy and Great Orme in the distance :+1:

Took a week out to Anglesey last week, load’s of footage taken. Here’s a few of what I’ve done so far…

Parys mountain.

The last one if you look close is a guy in a red jacket waving. I’d taken off at the mill up at the top of the pic and flown down. I never actually saw him on screen, but about 20 mins later while I was taking shot’s of the bridge he walked past. Was a proper lovely guy, fascinated by the 2S, said he was waving at me while at the other end, I thought yeah OK. It was only in post when I noticed him and give out a little chuckle .
