A top down of the Cutty Sark captured yesterday evening
Sheffield Bottom Lakes Berkshire Emptying Batts From Last Week Big Meet Whilst Dodging Showers & Tidying Garden For Winter,
Same Place A Few Months Ago @ Sunset,
I’m hoping to get some early morning shots of the new bridge myself, think I’ll wait till the crowds have gone though.
Will there be any “crowds” … “early morning”?
It was mental yesterday when it opened to the public, was more manageable today. Certainly sparse enough to fly the length of the bridge without feeling I was pushing the bounds of ‘crowds’
Just popped a video in the Youtube section
Dog walkers, joggers, cyclists, more cyclists … did I mention dog walkers…oh and photographers!
“Crowds” of them?
Have to be earlier, then.
It’s going to be closed from 7pm till 2am for the next couple of evenings to conduct testing on the electrics.
I imagine that will include opening and closing the bridge along with different settings of the lighting.
Might be worth going down to catch it.
Glad my uncle isn’t alive to see that , pow marine in Japan in WW2.
Including a rainbow
Went out today for my first flight on my own…Had to remind myself how to switch everything on, get them to connect, take a photo/video, etc. and of course be able to land safely!
Here’s one of my first photo’s…view towards Manchester in the distance.
With the forecast of a cold clear morning I headed down to Glasgow’s latest bridge. The forecast didn’t disappoint, a lovely sunrise though a chilly 3 degrees.
Just as I arrived I’d noticed another drone flying around the bridge. I’d just got my drone in the air and positioned over the middle of the river when a dog walker appeared and said, ‘oh it was your drone, I don’t like being followed’ I explained I’d just arrived but that there had been another drone in the area. Then said, I doubt they’d be wanting to follow you when there’s a new bridge to play with. She just glared at me and walked off
All images Mavic 3 Classic. I went for a slower shutter speed so I could stop down the aperture to create a starburst effect on the lights of the bridge.
The Govan-Partick Bridge connects Water Row in Govan to Pointhouse Quay in Partick, close to the Riverside Museum. The bridge which is 8m wide and 110m long was opened on 6th September 2024. It is one of the longest opening pedestrian/cycle bridges in Europe.
Now “crowds” - told ya!
a very fine set of images, well done
Thanks David
