That’s really helpful - thanks. To be honest I welcome the feedback!

A random one from my outing earlier, showing the Leeds Liverpool canal, railway line and A6069 Broughton Rd running alongside each other.
Transport Across The Ages, would be my title
Yeah, I find this too. I can’t see the wood for the trees after staring at an image for a while! I think it helps to walk away, go back the next day and have another go. When I do go back to it, I invariably think I’ve overdone it. I think I over do it (saturation and local contrast usually) to compensate for the fact that I can’t really “see” it anymore when I’ve been staring at it for too long. I do like how you have the foreground expose well, kind how we perceive it when looking with the naked eye.
Thanks very much. This was a 5 image AEB shot as well, when usually I do 3 images at most. So I think that probably led me to get more carried away than usual!
I really like that second image with all the colour and texture in the trees
Thank you
Am trying to learn using one of those Wacom pen & tablet thingy’s if when / where needed
Be interested to find out how you get on with it. Considered getting something similar myself. I seem to do half the work on my tablet using Lightroom mobile with a pencil and the other half on the laptop as the mobile app is a little restrictive at times
